Start with the essentials
What to know about Channel 5.
Live channels may require a local account, TV subscription, or other eligibility. A VPN does not replace those requirements or change broadcast rights.
Dash provides the VPN connection—not a Channel 5 account or subscription. Service shortcuts and availability may change. Check the app’s current list and follow Channel 5’s terms.
Use Channel 5 with Dash.
Install Dash on your Apple device.
Open Dash on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You do not need to create a separate Dash account to start.
Choose your connection.
Look for Channel 5 in Services. If the shortcut is not listed, use Fastest in Regions for a general VPN connection. A shortcut helps choose a route; it does not unlock restricted features.
Open Channel 5 as usual.
After Dash reports that it is connected, open the official Channel 5 app or website and sign in if required. Your existing subscription, account, and local access rules still apply.
When something does not load.
Check the broadcaster’s live schedule and account requirements first. A channel that is off-air or unavailable to your account will not be fixed by changing VPN routes.
If Channel 5 does not permit VPN connections, disconnect Dash before using the service. For other connection problems, see the Dash FAQ or contact support with the error and selected route.
Before you tap connect.
Does Dash include a Channel 5 subscription?
No. Dash supplies the VPN connection. You still need to meet Channel 5’s account, payment, and access requirements.
What if Channel 5 is not in Dash’s Services list?
The available shortcuts can change. Use Fastest in Regions for a general connection where permitted; this does not guarantee compatibility with a particular service.
Can a VPN guarantee access?
No. Providers may restrict VPNs and control their own licensing and eligibility. Follow local law and the service’s terms.
